Sacred Flame — Atmospheric Installation
Sacred Flame is a singular atmospheric installation centered on aroma, warmth, and proximity. The work uses a custom American Bakhoor aroma composition, controlled airflow, and a contained flame source to draw the viewer inward through sensation rather than instruction.
Aroma is treated as an active medium, carried, shaped, and held within the space. Rather than dispersing outward, the aromatic field is directed inward, inviting the body to approach, linger, and attune. The installation engages the senses through warmth, breath, and subtle chemical signaling, creating an environment that feels responsive to presence.
The aromatic formulation is developed to heighten sensual awareness without narrative or symbolism. It operates at the level of skin, breath, and nervous system, recalling the intimacy of touch through atmosphere alone. The experience is not illustrative; it is physiological and perceptual.
Sacred Flame explores pleasure as a legitimate mode of attention. By allowing the senses to be gently seduced by aroma and heat, the work reframes desire as a form of focus rather than excess, and embodiment as a site of intelligence rather than indulgence.
The installation functions as a contained encounter, an invitation into proximity, warmth, and heightened sensory awareness, where atmosphere itself becomes the point of contact.
Part of an ongoing atmospheric narrative cycle. Currently stewarded.
